Building Your Small Business Ideas With a Business Plan

Whether you have small business ideas you plan on implementing or you have been operating a small business for some time you need a focused business plan. It is your guide to success and without it you are planning to fail.

Your business plan needs to be a live document that is in constant development and is continually checked and updated, You must know if you are meeting your goals and if you do not continually check your business plan it can not work for you. Your business plan will allow you to make the needed changes to adjust to your small business growth or lack of growth.

The basic outline of a business plan is to detail the systems you will use and the task that are needed to accomplish your goals. By reviewing your business plan on a monthly basis at first you will be able to check your progress or lack of it. Once your business is up and running inn the direction you desire you may want to revise the time you review your plan. If your small business is progressing the way you planned and growth is steady checking your plan quarterly might be a good choice.

At first financial goals should be small. Although small they should be accomplished in the time frame you set. The initial small goals are as vital to your overall plan as the larger goals you have set for later dates. If your plan is working correctly in the early stages you will be able to determine if the complete business plan is achievable. Make sure that each goal is achieved as planned.

As in most aspects of life the best of plans can fail. You must ask yourself two questions. 1. Did you complete each goal in the time period you set. Were you able to achieve some of your goals but not all of them.

2. Were you able to use the systems you put in place and did they work as planned. Some of them will have met the goals you set while others did not.

Look carefully at your answers and analyze them. You will have systems that worked correctly and performed as expected. Keep those and continue working with them. The will also be systems that did not meet the goals you had set and the plans you had made. Look at these systems and find why they did not work.

You need to know why they did not work, if the system was flawed, were there steps in the system you may have missed. In answering those questions you can adjust future plans to accommodate errors that may have been made or discard the system completed and replace it with a new one.

A good solid business plan will continually improve and adjust. Adjusting and manipulating your plan for future growth will not only improve the effectiveness of your plan it will insure continued growth of your business.

Along with helping to build your small business ideas a business plan can give you confidence. A business plan is like a silent partner that helps keep your business on track.

Holiday in Resort Pulau Perhentian Besar

Out in the South China Sea, Resort Pulau Perhentian Besar is just on of the islands in the area, was once visited by sailors and merchants. These merchants and sailors made regular trips between Bangkok and Malaysia. Now, the island is home to the Resort Perhentian Besar Resort

Many people try to travel during the off season in hopes of saving money. This is not the case if you choose to vacation here between November and February. That time of year is their monsoon season so most shops and restaurants will be closed. Also, your choice of rooms may be very limited.

There is only one way to get the island and that is by boat. You have your choice of a speed boat, which tends to be a bumpy ride, or a wooden fishing boat that takes a little longer to reach the island. All the boats take you to your destination on the island.

The waters surrounding the island are crystal. All forms of marine life including sharks, sea turtles, fish and coral reefs, have their homes here.

On the island of Besar, there are several dive shops located on the different beaches. There is Alu Alu Divers which is a small operation. Flora Bay Divers offers courses from beginner to instructor. Perhentian Island Divers is on the same beach as Perhentian Island Resort. Turtle Bay Divers, located next to Mamma’s Chalet, with enthusiastic staff, this makes for an excellent family trip. Finally, Watercolours, another small operation, offer small group diving. No wet suit is required; but, you might want to wear one for protection from jellyfish.

Snorkeling, with guided tours is available also. Taluk Pauh, Shark Poin and Tanju Basi are the spots to go to. The resorts and some restaurants have snorkeling equipment.

If you wish to see more native animals, you might choose to hike the trails. These trails connect the beaches to each other. Along the way monitor lizards may appear. Off of the main trail, you will see the monkeys that live here. Be ready to get hot and sweaty. You will also be swatting bugs away as well.

Teluk KK, a restaurant on the southwestern end of the island offers the most common food found on the island as well as BBQ seafood.

On the menu at the Arwana Resort is beef, chicken, fish and squid. They also have a deli. At the east of the island is where you will find this restaurant.

Another restaurant that offers food similar to what the villagers eat is Mamma’s Restaurant, beside Mamma’s Resort.

Mashed potatoes, fried prawns and chicken fried rice are offered at Flora Bay Restaurant, next to Flora Bay Resort.

Offering vegetarian and seafood, and next to the dive shop, Paradise Island Resort restaurant is Watercolours.

If you want 24 hour electricity and water, air conditioning that you control, in room coffee and tea service and wifi, then Tuna bay Island Resort, the best place on the island, is the way to go. It is located on a white sandy beach.

Besides, Tuna Bay Resort offers its customers rooms with hot water and safety deposit boxes.

Resort Restaurant Uses Filtration Plant to Purify Its Water

I recently attended a wonderful birthday dinner for a friend of mine at a local destination resort at Pelican Hill golf resort in California. We enjoyed appetizers on the patio and a beautiful sunset, and then were ushered in to an elegant dining room for a four-course gourmet meal with wines to match.

When the server came to my table with chilled water in a stylish, open-neck glass bottle, I did what any water quality expert would do – I asked to see the bottle so I could peruse the contents and learn what types of treatment were used in processing the water.

To my amazement, the server informed me (quite proudly) that the resort bottles its own water and maintains a bottling “plant” on site.

This seems to be the latest in the trend to take control over costs, reduce reliance on plastic (PET) bottles that clog our landfills, and add a touch of self-sufficiency to a high-end dining facility. Everyone at our table was quite impressed with the concept; however, the water was highly purified and lacked in pleasing taste. My guess is that reverse osmosis and filtration technologies were part of the bottling plant, and that we were being treated to water that had been stripped of the majority of its natural mineral content.

Although the water tasted flat, it was definitely clean and highly purified. As a proponent of treating water at the largest possible point of entry that makes sense (whole-house filtration versus under sink filtration, as an example), I was quite impressed with the concept and the forward thinking of resort management. One has to wonder if the resort charges people for the water (I was a grateful guest, so I did not see the bill), and whether they could further please guests by adding back a small amount of minerals to flavor the water like the Dasani brand ( ).

Just as this high-end destination resort took control of their water issues, we must do so in our own homes. So next time you come to my house and I pour you chilled, bottled-quality water from a pretty open-neck glass bottle, be sure to ask me how you can achieve the same results in your house. It is easy to do at a relatively low cost, and you will help to reduce the endless number of plastic bottles we plant in our earth.

Honduras Vacation Resorts, Restaurants and What to Do When You Get There!

Trujillo Bay is on the north coast of Honduras and is completely underrated even within Trujillo. The Bay area has the beaches, culture and weather for a fraction of the price of other locations.

Continuing my series on perfect Honduras vacation resorts, restaurants and attractions I’ve put together a list of the top 5 places to eat in the Trujillo area. I haven’t included either Santa Fe or Puerto Castilla and will be putting something else together for those areas. Enjoy!

5 great places to eat in the Trujillo area

  1. The Mystic at Banana Beach – Without any doubt the best places to eat within the Trujillo Bay area. Banana Beach resort has been open for around 2 years and, thanks to its German chef Juergen, has blown all other restaurant contenders out of the water. The Mystic has the look of a relaxed beach bar, but with luxury level amenities and service. I would recommend anything on the standard menu, but the seafood is especially good. Every couple of weeks Juergen puts on a special menu and for about $12-15 you can have amazing Caribbean / Italian / French Bistro cuisine. Not to be missed!
  2. The Buccaneer – A nice little bar in the centre of Trujillo with AC, the Buccaneer offers a pretty standard bar menu. I have heard good reports of the BBQ meat items but have not tried them myself. Avoid the nachos as they are pretty hit and miss. While the rest of the menu could be described as merely satisfying the linguini pasta dish is excellent. A nice place to sit and have a drink and chat with the lovely Claudia who runs the place.
  3. Casa Kiwi – The Kiwi burger is without doubt the best burger in Trujillo, they pile the ingredients on so high it looks like it might topple any second! The rest of the menu is so, so, but the conch seviche is worth a look as well. Surprisingly expensive for budget accommodation, the restaurant is part of the bar and has a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere. A walk along the beach after a meal is recommended as Casa Kiwi has one of the best views of the bay.
  4. Christopher Columbus – A high-end hotel next to Trujillo airport and very close central Trujillo, Christopher Columbus offers two very different dining experiences. Restaurant Isabella offers some very good pasta dishes and has great wine options. The Champa bar offers traditional bar food which is actually very good. You pay for the pleasure of eating at Christopher Columbus but I would definitely recommend The Champa for a snack and a beer.
  5. Rogue Galleria has a menu very similar to The Buccanner and is well-known for its burgers, although they do not reach Casa Kiwi standards! The food is pretty well priced and you can usually meet some interesting locals and gringos just by having a meal and a couple of drinks. Located on the beach road in town, Rogue Galleria has a great view of the bay, even if it is a more crowded view than either Banana Beach or Casa Kiwi.

So when you are booking your vacation give consideration to Honduras vacations resorts that are luxurious and affordable, restaurants that are friendly with great food, boat trips, beaches and a rain forest. The Trujillo Bay area offers you everything you could want from a Caribbean vacation.
